Fluendo and SERAPHIC showcase fully compliant HbbTV 2.0.1 and Freeview Play solutions

Fluendo, the influential multimedia provider of GStreamer based solutions, alongside of the global leader of digital TV browser solution provider SERAPHIC, showcased fully compliant HbbTV 2.0.1 and Freeview Play solutions, through integration of SERAPHIC’s TV browser with the Fluendo Adaptive Streaming Module on renowned chipset vendor MStar’s platforms.

Freeview Play, the HbbTV technology based interactive TV standard which enables both live TV and catch-up programmes, is set to be the predominant connectedTV standard in the UK.

The Fluendo Adaptive Streaming Module is a GStreamer-based solution which includes both, main Market Adaptive Streaming technologies such as MPEG-DASH, HLS, MSS, and the Fluendo SDK, an easy-to-use API which eases the development of GStreamer applications as well as the integration with 3rd party solutions.

SERAPHIC’s Sraf HTML5 browser is a Blink-based, lightning-fast and market-proven software solution which supports various TV standards including the latest technical specifications of HbbTV 2.0.1, Freeview Play, YouTube TV, etc. Furthermore, the over-the-top (“OTT”) contents pre-integrated with Sraf HTML5 Browser enable TV manufacturers to provide ready-for-consumer solutions and quickly expand their target markets.
