Upcoming Release 2.0.0 of Fluendo HW Codecs

We are excited to announce the upcoming 2.0.0 release of our hardware codecs. This release includes a significant architectural change that aligns our codecs with the GStreamer community architecture. While this is a major update under the hood, this new release does not introduce any changes in functionality, providing a smooth transition to this new major release.
Key Updates in Version 2.0.0:
- Architectural Alignment with GStreamer: Our codecs’s architecture is now fully aligned with the GStreamer community architecture. This alignment allows us to take full advantage of the latest APIs and improvements in the GStreamer ecosystem, ensuring better performance, stability, and future-proofing of our technology.
- Toolchain Upgrade: We have upgraded our toolchain as part of this release. The minimum glibc required version was 2.17 for CentOS 7, which reached EOL on June 24, and we no longer support it. We have upgraded our toolchain as part of this release, and the minimum version of glibc required to run our codecs is now glibc 2.31. Our product supports any Linux distribution with glibc >= 2.31. Please ensure that your systems meet this requirement so that you can continue using our latest codecs without any issues.
