I promise again, I won’t use ML to write the blog post this time. Just my Emacs, sed, and me.

The GStreamer Conference 2026 is just around the corner, and Fluendo is excited to be a proud sponsor and presenter once again. This year, the event will take place from October 10 to 13 in Prague, Czech Republic, bringing together industry experts, developers, and enthusiasts to share the latest advancements in multimedia frameworks.

As usual, Fluendo will be hosting several engaging and interesting technical talks, sharing our expertise in GStreamer and our experiences with related technologies. Take a sneak peek at the topics we will be presenting!

Fluendo’s GStreamer Conference 2026 talks

Gst-Audit: A graphical way to instrument your pipeline by Jorge Zapata

The purpose of this talk is to demonstrate the use of Gst-Audit on a running GStreamer pipeline and explain its architecture, from binary injection to the React frontend, passing through the REST endpoint and JS bindings.

Dolby/AC-4: The plan to support the Dolby ecosystem in GStreamer by Pablo García and Maciej Sabiniok

This presentation will explore Fluendo’s ongoing efforts to support the Dolby audio ecosystem in GStreamer. We will start with an overview of Fluendo’s new proprietary Dolby decoders (AC-4 and EAC3). Next, we will delve into the open-source aspect of the work, detailing Fluendo’s recent OSS contributions. Finally, the session will conclude with an outlook on the future, presenting Fluendo’s plans for open-source and proprietary developments.

Digitally Signed Content & C2PA by Diego Nieto

This talk presents the implementation of Digitally Signed Content (DSC) in GStreamer to ensure video authenticity. We’ll demonstrate our new dscsigner element, which generates cryptographic signatures for coded bitstreams, alongside dscverifier, which verifies video authenticity in real time. The presentation covers the integration of JVET supplemental enhancement information (SEI) messages at the NAL unit level, highlighting our parser and inserter elements (such as h266seiinserter) that support the H.266/VVC, H.265/HEVC, and H.264/AVC standards. Finally, we’ll showcase how these plugins provide authenticity and provenance for RTP-based streams through C2PA.

Fluster over the course of 2026 by Rubén Gonzalez

This talk will present new features, important changes, and bug fixes in Fluster’s latest releases. Emphasizing two very useful new features

  • The new sample comparison method that allows tolerance with the audio reference decoder.
  • New Docker image with a hardware support or libva-fake-driver.
  • Meson to build reference decoders

Also, we would like to present some numbers, eg. increase in number of available decoders, test suites, test vectors and possibly other metrics.
