It’s been a month since IBC 2025, and the excitement hasn’t faded one bit. Looking back, the event was a tremendous success for Fluendo. An experience that left our entire team both satisfied and deeply energized about the future of multimedia technology. The atmosphere in Amsterdam was electric, with constant conversations, meaningful exchanges, and a shared passion for what’s next in the industry.
At our booth, visitors experienced firsthand our real-time face anonymizer in action. A demo that turned plenty of heads (and pixelated faces). Running on a standard laptop and powered by our Raven AI engine, the demo showcased zero-latency performance even with a 4K camera, perfectly illustrating the potential of our technology in real-world broadcasting environments.

The most significant update we had compared to other years is that we jumped into the show. I had the pleasure of explaining the technical details of our anonymizer, tailored to broadcasting. We had a fantastic turnout, with over 30 attendees filling the room to hear about our work. For those who couldn’t make it, you can find the video here:
The feedback gathered after the session, whether from our booth or during coffee with attendees, was a great way to identify improvements, pain points, and forge connections to continue evolving Raven to the next major update. Details will be shared soon!
Another theme of discussion, both at the booth and in side meetings, was the potential of gst.wasm, our open-source project dedicated to bringing GStreamer natively into the browser environment. The interest was broad among various sectors, but notably, we had conversations with key players in the HbbTV space who see this technology as a critical enabler for next-generation web-based content delivery. You can explore the GitHub project here.

Beyond the excitement around our technology, the tradeshow provided an invaluable opportunity to continue our long-standing relationship with partners such as the Fraunhofer Institute, 3CAT or Dolby, ensuring our joint efforts continue to push the boundaries of innovation. Beyond our own meetings, IBC consistently provides us with a valuable perspective on the industry’s direction. We paid special attention to trends, observing significant traction and excitement around bandwidth reduction offered by new codecs like H.266/VVC, which had a major presence in a large booth from Nokia, as well as LCEVC, from our partner V-nova.
Conclusion
As we look back on IBC 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who stopped by, shared feedback, and joined our sessions. This year’s event reinforced why we love what we do. We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again at IBC 2026. Until then, stay in touch and tuned for what’s next!
