Fluendo is an established leading provider of multimedia plug-ins for the GNU/Linux Market, and has succeeded in offering legal end-to-end solutions working with multiple formats and platforms.
Offering their customers stable solutions and a quality experience when playing multimedia is Fluendo’s main objective. All the software developed by this company undergoes endless inspections and ongoing updates aimed at ensuring top quality playback and avoiding obsolescence.
“We have to be able to meet our customers’ needs to make sure we advance in the same direction and at the same pace of the latest technologies. Customers rely on our ability to guarantee that our products will allow them to enjoy the advantages offered by the latest advances in multimedia”, said Julien Moutte, Fluendo Founder and CEO. Following this premise, the Codec Pack Release 11 offers performance improvements for decoding on the 32-bit version for WMV7 and WMV8. This release also incorporates hardware acceleration for VDPAU and VAAPI, which requires Totem >= 2.28.0 and GStreamer >= 0.10.26 to work correctly. Likewise, Fluendo has made some fixes on MPEG2 video decoders to enhance the performance of reverse playback and provide more reliability. Another great news for this release is the inclusion of AC3 audio Decoder (Dolby Digital), which will work only in the Totem media player.
Fluendo is developing state of the art solutions to enjoy photos, watch videos and listen to music on different operating systems and devices. More news on the availability of further versions of the Codec Pack and other Fluendo multimedia solutions will be featured on the Fluendo website at www.fluendo.com
